As a teacher of movement and Alexander Technique, I observe each student’s unique presence.   In order to discover our own potential, we needn’t strive to look or move like another.  We already possess what we need to move fully, easily, and with grace.  I love to work with individuals to reveal their own true self in movement.

In the Alexander Technique we begin by observing ourselves in order to cultivate an increased awareness of how we do what we do.  As we study ourselves performing ordinary activities such as standing, sitting, breathing and speaking, we practice the art of undoing, of releasing unnecessary tension in the body.  In this practice, we find a renewed source of energy, balance, ease and expression.

The Alexander Technique teaches us how to undo harmful muscular tension.

The Alexander Technique helps us move with ease, balance, and coordination.

The Alexander Technique brings about a more efficient use of the whole body. 


Applications:

pain relief, stress reduction, repetitive stress injury, working at a computer, public speaking, pregnancy, sports, dance, music, and acting.
